Digital Innovation at Bonus Pastor Catholic College  

The staff at Bonus Pastor Catholic College have enthusiastically embraced technology into their classrooms since that pandemic. Our school community is thrilled to have been recognised as a Google Reference School. G Kelly (Customer success manager for Google for Education in the UK) and Lawrence Tijjani Happy2Host Education came to visit our school to observe how we are implementing Google for Education tools, and how we have transformed teaching and learning, fostering collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in the classroom.

Our success as a Google Reference School is the result of a collaborative effort among educators, students, and support staff. With ongoing professional development and training, our teachers have embraced digital tools to create dynamic and engaging learning environments.

Beyond the technology itself, our achievement as a Google Reference School underscores the transformative impact it has had on student learning outcomes. By empowering students to take ownership of their learning and become active participants in the educational process, we are preparing them for success in an increasingly digital world. Technology has also been at the heart of how our school community lives out Catholic Social Teaching. In a heartwarming initiative to support education beyond borders, Bonus Pastor recently donated a batch of Chromebook laptops to a school in Ghana. This act of generosity aims to bridge the digital gap and provide students in Ghana with access to essential tools for learning.

The donation of Chromebooks represents more than just a transfer of technology; it symbolises a commitment to global education equity. With these laptops, students in Ghana can now explore a world of knowledge at their fingertips, accessing educational resources, interactive lessons, and communication platforms previously out of reach.
