Chief Financial Officer, Christ the Redeemer Catholic Educational Trust

Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 pro rata, depending on experience, holiday allowance and employer pension.
Contract: Part time (0.4 FTE) permanent contract.
Reporting to: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Educational Trust.
Accountable to: The Trust Board of the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Education Trust.
Location: We are in the process of establishing a permanent central office location which will very likely be within one of the Trust schools. The postholder is expected to travel mainly in the Trust area, primarily to the schools, and also to meetings within the Diocese and some national events. Hybrid home working arrangements may be possible.

Outline of the Role

As a member of the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team, the CFO will have operational responsibility for all aspects of Trust business management including finances, budget planning and monitoring, cash management, risk management, capital planning and procurement. This role is integral in leading a successful trust that is financially sustainable and will require considerable hands-on work with the schools to support and guide them as they face ongoing financial pressures. The Trust is currently in its first year of operation and we expect to grow significantly over time. The role will evolve accordingly with increased responsibilities as more schools join.
