We were delighted to welcome to St George’s Cathedral all our retired and retiring Headteachers and their families to celebrate their service to Education in the Archdiocese of Southwark on the 23rd June 2023.
This was an opportunity for Archbishop John Wilson to thank our Headteachers for the important role of leadership, guidance and advocacy they had shown in the delivery of Catholic Education. In gratitude for their work, the Archbishop presented the Headteachers with a certificate, medal and the Romero Cross.
Ursuline High School beautifully led the singing under the direction of Paul Williams and Jason Ching.
The Archbishop also welcomed the new Catholic School Inspectors as part of their induction in the Diocese. A reception was then held in Amigo Hall. This will be an annual event for all retiring headteachers.
