Last week at St Michael’s Catholic College, Southwark, the 6th form Chaplaincy team organised a tea party for senior citizens from our local parish/community groups and students were also invited to bring grandparents along.
The event is one of a series of being organised by the whole school Chaplaincy Team to mark the ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ jubilee year, the purpose of the tea was to provide an opportunity for the different generations to get to know and learn from each other. The event was very well attended, guests and students enjoyed homemade scones and pastries and were entertained with performances from the school band and our drama students.
