On Tuesday 6th January 2026, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Battersea celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany with a very special service. Despite the frosty weather, the children braved the cold to gather outside with Deacon Michael for a beautiful liturgy.
The celebration included a very special guest — Baxter the camel — who helped to re-enact the story of the first Epiphany. This brought the Gospel story vividly to life as the journey of the Magi visiting the baby Jesus was shared.
Children, staff and parents came together to pray and sing, creating a joyful and prayerful atmosphere. It was a memorable and meaningful way to mark the feast day and a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to reflect on the message of Epiphany.
