This week pupils in Year One at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Tunbridge Wells, learned about Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit came to Jesus’ friends like a bright, holy spitfire — filling them with courage and joy.
Pupils read the verse from Acts: “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:4)
They learned that once the disciples were filled with the Spirit, they rushed out to tell everyone the Good News of Jesus. Pupils talked about how we can do the same today through kindness, helping others, and sharing hope. They wrote messages to tell everyone about Jesus and spread them around the school!
Pentecost reminds us that God’s Spirit fills us so we can shine and share love with the world.
