Harvest Mass at St Augustine Catholic Primary School

This Harvest season, the school community at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Tunbridge Wells gathered together for a beautiful Harvest Mass celebrated by Father Pascal, giving thanks for God’s many blessings and reflecting on how they can support those in need.

As part of their Harvest celebrations, children and families generously donated a wonderful collection of food and essential items. The dedicated Pupil Chaplains worked hard to collect, sort and pack the donations, preparing them for delivery to Nourish Community Foodbank. Through their service, the children demonstrated compassion, generosity and a commitment to helping others in their local community.

This act of kindness reflects the Trusts mission and the Catholic Social Teaching principle of the Preferential Option for the Poor, which reminds us all that we are called to place the needs of the most vulnerable at the heart of our actions. By sharing what we have with those facing hardship, we put our faith into action and show God’s love through practical support.

Staff would like to thank all of the families for their generosity and their Pupil Chaplains for their hard work and leadership. Together, the school have made a real difference to local families and lived out their mission of caring for those most in need.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
