Catholic Books by Madeleine Carroll

Bibliography of author Madeleine Carroll

I am a children’s author and home-schooling mother from Surrey. Having trained and worked as a Montessori teacher and catechist for three to six-year-olds with The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, I strongly believe in the power of beauty in art and language to form and inspire children, and so started writing stories that will hopefully encourage children to draw closer to their Good Shepherd. A number of my books are based around the liturgical seasons of Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter; with a twist on the traditional stories surrounding these seasons and feasts, whilst also drawing in parables, traditions, and legends from the past. Each book also serves the dual purpose of being a story as well as a form of catechesis depicting Salvation History. Many of the books include relevant Scripture passages from the Old and New Testament, activity pages (which can include colouring-in pages) points for meditation with parents/teachers, or a combination of all of these, and more.

Some of the books have been published by Second Spring, the Catholic Mothers Apostolate, and Holy Heroes in the US. In 2020 I also set up my own small publishing company called Isaiah Books. Since I started writing in 2015, thousands of my books have been sold, in bulk, and individually, to parishes and families around the country, such as at Belmont Abbey bookshop, the Catholic shrine shop in Walsingham, St Anthony Communications online shop, Aid to the Church in Need, McCrimmons and various other parishes, schools and outlets in the UK and US.
