As a rule of thumb if you have a personal contact number or email of an employee of this school, the Education Service would consider this a conflict of interest.
In the last 7 years you have:
- Worked in the school
- Previously worked as a colleague with an employee in the school
- Conducted consultancy either paid or unpaid in the school
- had a child or a close relative attend the school
- Had a relative working at the school
At any time:
- I have ever had a personal relationship/friendship with an employee of the school
- I have been a governor at the school
These are not exhaustive and should you query if there is a conflict, it is better to err on the side of caution. If in doubt ask.
