Easter at St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School

St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School in Canterbury were delighted to celebrate Easter in many wonderful ways.

Firstly, their local priests; Canon Anthony and Father Michael joined the school for Lent penitentials.

The key stage 1 pupils enacted Palm Sunday, which was followed by a few of the classes visiting the local church for the Stations of the Cross.

The whole school also took part in a Last Supper reenactment.

On the last day of term, after helping the reception class with an Easter egg hunt, the Year 6 class put on a wonderful play of the Way of the Cross, which was enjoyed by the parents too. They held an Easter bonnet competition with Easter eggs as the prize, and were delighted with the children’s creative ideas.

Year 5 class also completed some amazing artwork during the lead up to Easter.
