The children of Sacred Heart and St Mary’s Battersea have produced some beautiful artwork and were involved in a project for Black History Month called First Among Equals. The children focused on John Archer – Wandsworth’s first black mayor and created portraits in water colour, pastel and collage.
The children created beautiful pieces of art work that were displayed at the Battersea Arts Centre (BAC). The children went to view their art and the exhibition was open to the public. Many children returned with their families to view the exhibition.
There is an online exhibition link of all the artwork: https://www.morecurricular.co.uk/exhibitions/john-archer.html
