St Fidelis Catholic Primary School Recognised by Google

St Fidelis Catholic Primary School in Erith, is proud to be recognised as a Google for Education Premier Reference School, joining a global community of leaders in educational innovation.  This designation highlights our commitment to shaping the future of learning by deploying next-generation tools and creating personalised learning environments where every pupil and member of staff can reach their full potential.  At St Fidelis, this includes:

  • One-to-one chromebooks for all pupils across all classes in Years 3 to 6
  • Pioneering advanced AI tools, like Gemini for Education and Notebook LM, to enhance learning
  • Championing dynamic teaching practices that engage and inspire, and
  • Fostering a personalised learning environment where every student and educator can thrive, using tools such as Reading Plus and Dreambox Maths.

This award is a really significant achievement.  There are only a small number of Google for Education Reference Institutions (Primary or Secondary) in the UK, and a much smaller number achieving the highest award of Premier Reference status.  For context we believe there are only five other schools across London (Primary or Secondary) with Google for Education Reference Institution status.

Particular thanks has to go to Mr Kennor, our Assistant Headteacher, who has really driven this initiative to make technology such an integral part of our provision over the past eight years.  He, with the support of an exceptionally talented and dedicated staff team, has achieved something really extraordinary which the whole school community is really proud of.
