This term, the children at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Tunbridge Wells have been taking part in a special art project inspired by the Adoremus 2026 National Eucharistic Congress Art Competition. The competition invites young people from across England and Wales to reflect creatively on themes including the Blessed Sacrament, the presence of Jesus, and the beauty of our cathedrals.
Through prayer, discussion and artistic exploration, the pupils created thoughtful and inspiring pieces of artwork that express their understanding of God’s love and His presence in the Eucharist. The children used a range of media and techniques to share their ideas, producing a vibrant display that celebrates both faith and creativity.
The project provided a wonderful opportunity for children to develop their artistic skills while deepening their understanding of the Eucharist and the importance of prayer in our Catholic tradition.
We are extremely proud of the imagination, reverence and effort shown by all of our young artists. Their work reminds us that art is a powerful way to celebrate our faith and share the beauty of God’s presence with others.
