Year one have been busy learning about bees this term. Pupils from St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, Tunbridge Wells have immersed themselves in all things bee related, made bee baths, wrote instructions, focused on non fiction texts and created artwork.
Pupils had a bee workshop from Michelle who is a real bee keeper. She showed pupils her beehive and bee equipment she uses. Children loved learning and really showed off their own knowledge. They made beeswax candles to take home. Pupils are learning how to be stewards of the earth, caring for God’s creatures and earth.
