CTK Spring Term Easter Appeal – April 2021

18th May 2021 Off By Claire Williams

Staff and students across the Christ the King Sixth Forms responded generously to the Easter Appeal that was launched over the Lent period. The appeal included the following initiatives: selling and collecting of chocolate Easter eggs, including dress-down day charity collection.

The CTK community partnered with the Society of St Vincent De Paul (SVP) groups of Holy Cross – Catford, and St Stephens – Bexley, to provide over 600 easter eggs delivered to the elderly and families and volunteers in the local community.

Students and staff donated and collected eggs across the three sixth form sites.

There was also the selling of eggs for charity to be consumed or donated to the appeal as students arrived, including £978 donated for CAFOD, Aid to the Church in Need and Save the Children.

The donations were gratefully received by Lesley Allen, the coordinator of the SVP, Diamond Club and You bring me sunshine network in Catford.

By way of thanks, Lesley sent an uplifting recorded message of thanks to all the students and staff, that included messages from the Diamond Club members.
