Former Pupil of St Francis R.C School Honoured with Peerage

The school community at St Francis R.C School in Peckham are proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of former pupil Peter Babudu, who has recently been appointed Baron Babudu.

Seeing photographs of Peter once again in school uniform is a powerful reminder of his journey — from his early days in their classrooms to receiving one of the country’s highest honours. His story is an inspiring example of what can be achieved through determination, ambition, and service.

Staff are immensely proud to have played a part in Peter’s educational journey and the success that followed. His achievement is a source of pride not only for the school but also for the wider community.

They hope to have the opportunity to congratulate Baron Babudu in person in the future, perhaps during a visit back to the school. He will always remain a valued member of our school family.

Baron Babudu also attended St Thomas the Apostle College and has had his whole education in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Southwark.
