Activities at St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School

St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School in Canterbury performed the nativity story at their local parish church of St Thomas of Canterbury and was a resounding success.

Over the course of three separate shows, the children captivated the community of their families, governors and friends with their wonderful singing and acting. It was a true delight to witness the enthusiasm and talent of the students as they brought the story of the nativity to life.

Staff are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication displayed by all the children involved in this production. Their commitment to rehearsals and their willingness to showcase their skills truly paid off.

The performances were a wonderful opportunity for the school to come together and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. The feedback from the audience was overwhelmingly positive, and they are grateful for the support and appreciation shown by all who attended.

St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School in Canterbury Year 6 class had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Young Voices concert at the O2 in London. This was a truly exciting and memorable experience for the children.

These spectacular concerts create the largest children’s choir performances in the world, giving pupils the chance to sing alongside live musicians, special guest artists and a full production experience.

The students worked diligently to learn a selection of songs, which they then performed alongside other primary schools. It was a joy to see them singing with such enthusiasm and energy, showcasing their talents in front of a captivated audience of parents.

Staff are immensely proud of the Year 6 students for their dedication, hard work, and exceptional performance. This experience has not only enriched their musical abilities but also fostered a sense of teamwork, confidence, and a love for the arts.

St Thomas’ Catholic Primary School in Canterbury celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany at their local parish church – St Thomas of Canterbury.

They were delighted to receive an email from one of the parishioners after the mass as follows:

“I just wanted to let you know what a privilege & a pleasure it was to be at the 9.30 Mass with you all yesterday. The children were wonderfully well behaved in church. The readers were well chosen so that they could be heard & were very respectful & well-disciplined when they went up to the altar. The children were quiet during quiet periods in Mass. Well done to all of you. I was so proud of our parish school”
