Christ the King Sixth Forms’ Easter Egg Appeal Delivers Sweet Success with over 650 Donations

Christ the King Sixth Forms is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its annual Easter Egg Appeal, which concluded over the Easter break with an impressive donation of over 650 eggs. This initiative, driven by the dedication of its staff and students, aimed to spread joy and support to various communities in need.

Of the 650 donated eggs, 300 were shared with Demelza Children’s Charity, providing smiles to children facing challenging circumstances. An additional 100 eggs were distributed directly to children and families at a local primary school.

Recognising the importance of supporting local initiatives, Christ the King Sixth Forms donated 100 eggs to a local food bank to help those facing food poverty.

Fifty eggs were donated to St Vincent De Paul Society, further extending the charitable efforts within the community.

In a heartwarming display of compassion, the remaining 100 eggs were distributed to the elderly at the Bring Be Sunshine event, brightening the day of seniors in the community.

Social Action and charity work is an important part of our CTK Character Education programme, and our Easter Appeal is just one element of what we support.

Shireen Razey, Executive Principal of Christ the King Sixth Forms said,

“We are immensely grateful to all those who so generously donated to our Easter Egg Appeal. We know that local charities we supported were extremely grateful to have received the kind donations from our CTK Community. The generosity shown will have made a real difference to many local people during the Easter Period.”

Christ the King Sixth Forms extends its sincere appreciation to the local businesses, organisations, faith groups, and parishes whose support and donations were instrumental in the success of this year’s Easter Egg Appeal. Together, we have demonstrated the power of collective action and kindness in making a meaningful impact in the local community.
