On a beautiful day at Aylesford, we were delighted to welcome over 1,200 people to the Festival of Hope — a truly special celebration as part of the Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee year.
The festival brought together schools, families, and parish communities from across the region in a spirit of joy, unity, and faith. With music, prayer, activities, and reflection, the day was filled with moments that lifted our hearts and reminded us of the hope we share as people of God.
Highlights included wonderful performances by school bands, creative workshops, and times of prayer at this sacred site. The enthusiasm and generosity of all who attended — especially the young people who contributed their time and talents — helped make the festival a day to remember.
We hope that everyone who took part will carry the memory of the Festival of Hope with them throughout this Jubilee year. Thank you to all who made it possible, and we look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate together in faith and hope.

We have received some amazing feedback from the day.
Thanks to you all for organising such a lovely day, even the weather was glorious! The children had a wonderful time. There was a wonderful, happy and calm atmosphere that I felt but I am sure you organisers were far from calm at times!
Thank you again, the children (my Mini Vinnies group) have got some wonderful memories of the day.
I would like to express our sincere gratitude to you all for such a wonderful day yesterday. The events were so well organised and for us, the day worked like clockwork with all of the brilliant activities slotting together perfectly. We had so much fun whilst still maintaining the focus of hope at the forefront of our minds.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the planning, organising and running of the day. It really is a memorable part of the Jubilee year.
